Case Results

In 2020, our client was a passenger in an Uber when his vehicle was rear-ended by a van. The impact caused serious injuries to his neck, and, after several rounds of
treatment through injections, he ultimately underwent a neck surgery. Despite arguments from the defense that his injuries were pre-existing, we were able to prove the need for the neck surgery was caused by the wreck. We recovered the full limits from the driver of the van then proceeded forward with claims against Uber where we were able to resolve the case prior to litigation.

In 2018, our client, a welder, was working at a job site re-routing gas pipe lines. The site was controlled as our client continued with his weld when a 3rd party decided to turn the gas on. The result caused the gas pipe to turn into a flame thrower and severally burning our client’s face. Liability remained a dispute through litigation, but we were able to successfully resolve the case at mediation.

Settlement for roll over collision in Fulton County.

I represented a client who was on mediation that required strict blood monitoring to determine how thick or thin his blood was. Unfortunately, the product that measured his blood was defective and he was showing readings of “thick” blood and a risk of clotting. As a result of the faulty readings, he was administered several rounds of Lovenox, a blood thinner. This caused his blood to thin so much that he suffered a stroke and a grand-mal seizure.  We resolved the case at mediation for $375,000.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Our client, the owner of a bakery store in Woodstock, GA, was a passenger in a vehicle returning from a date-night in Atlanta. As she exited I-575, a driver who was
under the influence t-boned the vehicle she was in, flipping it onto it’s side. She suffered serious injuries and had to undergo multiple rounds of injections to her neck. We were able to recover the full limits of coverage for her.

CG. was in a horrible car crash when the vehicle he was driving in Hall County, Georgia, was struck by an individual turning left. The collision caused Charles’ car to roll over and land on the roof. Through our efforts, we were able to obtain a full policy limit recovery from all insurance available.

Our client was driving in traffic in downtown Atlanta when, as traffic slowed, he was rear ended by a F-250 truck. The impact caused his him to jerk forward where his shoulder struck the steering wheel, severing his rotator cuff. Our client ultimately underwent a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty as a result of his injuries. The case proceeded forward in Federal Court and was resolved for the limits of coverage on the Friday before trial started Monday.

Settlement for premises liability case.

Our client James, a store manager at a Trader Joes near Atlanta, was out in the store’s parking lot directing traffic while a tractor trailer truck was delivering good to the
store. He was wearing a bright red shirt and was 6’3’’ tall. While directing traffic, a lady who was not paying attention backed her car out of her parking space and ran over his foot and ankle causing severe injuries that eventually required surgical repair. The case was fought heavily by the insurance defense attorneys. First, they blamed James for standing behind the parked car when the Defendant backed out. Then, they hired an expert who testified that the pain in James’ ankle was unrelated to the car driving over him and instead said his pain was from a “slow-growing hereditary mass.” We were able to overcome those challenges and obtain an excellent settlement for James. This case was referred to us from another attorney for us to handle the litigation.
