Christopher Brown

Christopher (“Chris”) Brown is a trial attorney licensed in Georgia, Tennessee, and Colorado. Chris has spent more than a decade litigating employment, commercial, and personal injury cases in state and federal courts. His experience representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants across a variety of cases allows him to see a case from all sides and provide the best possible representation for his clients.

Chris’s employment practice focuses on discrimination and retaliation claims based on race, gender, color, national origin, sexual orientation, age, and disability. Chris also litigates wage and hour claims (minimum wage, overtime, and retaliation) brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”).

Chris has broad experience in personal injury cases including professional malpractice (legal and medical), premises liability, and automobile accidents. And he is not afraid to take cases to trial; Chris has tried a number of cases to verdict in front of judges, arbitrators, and juries. From 2011-2014 Chris was honored to serve as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, teaching advanced trial practice to law students and coaching one of the school’s national trial teams.

In addition to his litigation practice, Chris serves small businesses as a Virtual General Counsel. As a small business owner himself (Chris is a co-owner of Dalton Brewing Company), he understands the unique issues facing small business owners. Chris assists entrepreneurs with entity formation, contract negotiation and drafting, workplace investigations, and legal compliance. Prior to joining Geiger Legal Group, Chris spent almost two years honing these corporate skills as the Director of Legal Services at his local health system.

Before practicing law, Chris attended the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law where he served as a General Editor for the Denver University Law Review, a competing member of the school’s National Mock Trial Team, a teaching assistant for Constitutional Law, and a research assistant for Evidence and Civil Rights.

Chris is a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South, and currently lives in Dalton, Georgia with his wife, three kids, and two dogs.
