What Does a Personal Injury Paralegal Do?
As a personal injury paralegal at Geiger Legal Group, you will be assisting people who have been hurt due to someone else’s negligence to seek justice and fair compensation for both economic and non-economic losses. Compensation may cover costs such as medical bills, lost wages, lost earning capacity, property damage, pain, and suffering, and more.
At Geiger Legal Group, LLC, we handle serious personal injury matters from the beginning of the case all the way through trial.
These types of personal injury cases will include:
- Serious car crashes
- Truck accidents
- Motorcycle accidents
- Bicycle accidents
- Brain injuries
- Spine injuries
- Medical malpractice
- Nursing home abuse
- Product liability
- Wrongful death
Key Responsibilities for this Position Include:
- Building a relationship and trust with our clients. You are helping people after they have suffered a serious injury, and they need to know you have their best interest at heart.
- Setting up claims with liability insurance carriers, underinsured motorist carriers, and medical payment coverage.
- Ordering and collecting medical records and bills that are necessary to support the client’s case.
- Setting up liens with health insurance and negotiating the liens as required to maximize the amount the client receives.
- Drafting pleadings and discovery, and filing in various courts as required.
- Going the extra mile as needed. We are NOT a firm where one person is too big for any task. If something needs to be done to help the team, it is expected that you do it.
